A nourishing, soulful day of movement to resource and re-fresh for this year.
With Open Floor dance and Yoga, we will use movement to reset and refresh some of the patterns that we move in, to meet this year with more clarity, joy and ease. Moving from the habitual to an expanded place of choice.
The venue is across the road from Palm Beach and there will be time for a swim or beach walk at lunch.
Neal and Sacha are both highly experienced movement teachers and space holders. They offer a kind, fun, inclusive and rich space in which to explore and learn through movement, embodiment and creativity.
No previous experience of Yoga or dance is needed, just an openness to move and be moved.
Please complete the form below to register for re-fresh, patterns in the sand. Please phone Sacha on 021 046 7699 if you would like to find out more.
Palm Beach Hall and how to get there:
Palm Beach Hall is a lovely local hall, where Sacha teaches regularly. The stunning beach itself is just a 1 minute walk away and being February, there will be time for swimming and enjoying the amazing location.
If you are coming from Auckland, we recommend catching the 9am ferry, and then the 502 bus from Matiatia will drop you right outside the hall – super easy!
A few minutes walk away there is a good cafe Arcadia and a dairy – Palm Beach Store, which also has some simple food options during the day.
Sacha Paddy
My intention is to bring awareness of the sacred into my everyday life, connecting to spirit through dance, yoga and massage in my own practices and in the work I do with others.
My path has been one of listening to the profound teachings of nature and of reclaiming my intuition and body connection.
When I discovered the 5Rhythms Dance of Gabrielle Roth in 2000, I instantly fell in love with the freedom I felt as well as the potential of this practice to guide me through my life.
Neal Ghoshal
Neal has been practicing yoga for 26 years and teaching since 2003. He sees yoga as a guide to restoring our place and understanding of who we are and how we can live peacefully, happily and completely fulfilled.
Neal’s teaching focuses on exploring and refining natural movement and alignment principles – learning to embody these principles in a way that takes our spiritual practice into our everyday lives.
“My aim in teaching is to create a safe and inviting space in which to learn and discover Yoga as a balance between effort and effortlessness, structural alignment and organic fluidity, mindfulness and spontaneity.
I am interested in supporting and growing students’ skill in sensing and feeling their way in their movement, so that they learn to fully trust in and be confident of their own perception, and make independent choices in their practice and their lives.”
“Ultimately, the practice of Yoga leads us to a place where we may respond to life’s challenges with ease in our breath and body, with wise choices, and with kindness and a compassionate heart.”
He has taught on teacher training programs in Australia and New Zealand, has been senior faculty on Donna Farhi’s Advanced Teacher Training Program, and been a keynote speaker at the IYTA Conference.
He is a founder member and part of the core faculty of the Contemporary Yoga Teacher Training program, based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Neal and Sacha have such a beautiful, calm presence about them and doing an amazing job of slowly encouraging the body to move and the mind to explore. Such a joyous experience – thank you!
For relaxing, for nurture, for soul Mana is the place to go. The sanctuary is such a beautiful space and setting for meditation.
Sacha and Neal make a beautiful team and the love and kindness between them resonates out into the group. Loving-kindness throughout the weekend with permission and encouragement to allow yourself to be yourself, and find the joy of being alive in your body, in this place, now. Beautiful.
I am very grateful for the experience and leave feeling more loving towards myself.
Coming to this retreat has brought me so much closer to who I am.
Thank you so much Sacha and Neal – I loved it and really felt deeply the softening of my doing and connecting with my being.
What a gift to be invited to listen carefully and to be led in different ways to find the connection to my own sensing. For me it was a very softening tender experience of love.
The retreat helped allow myself to tap into the wisdom held inside my cells. It allowed me to move my body with wisdom and flow.
Admiration and gratitude to Neal and Sacha for offering their skill and wisdom. A treat of a retreat.
