Opening doorways to the intelligent heart of our body
Our bodies are designed to move and they love to move! Dynamic movement practices such as Yoga and 5Rhythms dance involving non-habitual movement, are now known to be especially beneficial for our holistic health.
When we move our body we not only feel physically enlivened, but our moods can lighten and shift, our mind can feel more spacious and we can connect with a sense of our soulful being. The simple act of engaging in conscious movement practices has a profound effect on every aspect of our life and living.
This is the power and wisdom of the moving body.
This weekend, with the guiding lights of 5Rhythms Dance and Yoga, we open doorways to the inherent intelligence of our being and our own transformative potential.
This workshop is accessible to all those with a willingness to move.
First session on Friday 7.30pm (Dinner 6pm)
Finishing on Sunday 3pm
About 5Rhythms Dance
For full details of all 5Rhythms events in New Zealand, visit their main website: 5rhythms.co.nz.
5Rhythms Dance is a simple yet profound movement practice which encourages freedom and fluidity in our dance and in our lives.
You are invited to let your body move finding your unique dance guided by the 5Rhythms of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical and Stillness. Each rhythm offers us its gifts when we surrender to the dance. Sometimes we get to the magical space where our dance becomes a body prayer and we are no longer dancing but being danced.
No dance experience is needed – just a willingness to dive into your own unique dance. Wear comfortable clothing that allows easy movement and bring plenty of water to drink.
Please be on time as a respect to the space and other dancers, and we can save our catch ups for after the session to make the most of our dance time.
Check out this short video – Gabrielle Roth introduces the 5Rhythms:
Sacha completed Gabrielle Roth’s teacher training program in 2008. She has been dancing and loving the 5Rhythms practice for 18 years.
She offers an inclusive space to explore your dance deeply and playfully.
